Winter Recipe Ideas
Getting you ready for the festive season!

Here is a list of winter recipes we like to use our microgreens for troughout the colder months.

Traditionally salad leaves aren't eaten as much in the winter, but that's down to availability and freshness. With microgreens we can grow and harvest all year around.

Roasted Broccoli Microgreen Soup

If green is the colour of well-being, then this soup is a health bomb. Roasting the vegetables serves to infuse each spoonful with smoky flavour, beans add body, feta offers salty richness, and microgreens provide a sense of freshness. Other little greens such as radish will also be most welcomed in this blend.

Roasted Acorn Squash, Microgreens and Quinoa Salad

This recipe is vegan and gluten free. Plus it’s absolutely packed with vegetables, both in microgreen and regular-sized form!

The tahini dressing contains half a jalapeno pepper which adds a little bit of heat without being overpowering; a healthy, hearty vegetarian dish for winter evenings.

Grilled Cheese Toastie With Ham And Brie Cheese With Microgreens, Apple And Dijon

This recipe demonstrates that microgreens don’t need to be a pretentious ingredient that only chefs use. You can throw them into something as simple as a toasted cheese sandwich at home.

Granted, this is a bit of a fancy sandwich. But you don’t need to go to this extreme. Some nice broccoli or radish microgreens can add a bit of flair even to your regular ham sandwich.
