I have been a keen gardener for a number of years, having inherited green fingers from both sides of my family. My Grandad was a University lecturer in horticulture, passing skills on to my Mum who is a prolific gardener. On the other side of my family, my Dad is a leading authority of aquatic plants, curated the French National waterlily collection for a time, and gives frequent lectures on waterlilies and aquaculture to local horticulture groups.
In 2020, at the time when garden centres were struggling to meet the demands of the public, I set up the 'Yateley Plant Swap' facebook group as a way of connecting those with too many plants to those who hadn't been able to find them, at 400 members to date the group is thriving.
Until 2022 I grew in my garden and at an allotment for my own enjoyment and for the family, but in early 2022 I began my Microgreens journey as a way of extending my growing season to make it a year round supply for my family. Things have gone well and I now want to share these wonderful little plants with my local community!
I have worked in commercial kitchens both in the UK and in France and understand the pressures of working in restaurants. My aim is to bring fresh, nutritious produce with minimal fuss to you, whether you are a chef, caterer or individual just looking for fresh local produce.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you.
